Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of private sprint coaching services provided by Edinburgh Sprint Coach (“we”, “us”, or “the Coach”). By booking a session, engaging with our services, or participating in any coaching activities, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not accept these Terms in full, you should not book or attend any sessions.
1. Eligibility
To use our services, you must:
Be at least 18 years old, or have written consent from a parent or guardian if under 18.
Be physically able to participate in sprint training or have obtained medical clearance from a qualified healthcare professional.
Agree to abide by the rules and instructions provided by the Coach at all times.
We reserve the right to refuse services to anyone at our sole discretion, particularly where health or safety may be compromised.
2. Services Offered
We offer a range of private sprint coaching services, including but not limited to:
One-on-one sprint coaching sessions
Recurring coaching plans (weekly, bi-weekly, or custom schedules)
Technique and biomechanics analysis
Speed development programs
Performance assessments
Rehabilitation-focused movement coaching
Custom training plans for competitions or specific goals
All services are tailored to the individual needs of the client and are conducted either outdoors, in private training facilities, or at agreed locations.
3. Booking Policy
Sessions must be booked in advance via our online booking platform, email, or direct communication with the Coach.
Bookings are only confirmed upon receipt of full payment unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Confirmation emails or messages will serve as proof of your booking.
We do not guarantee availability until your session has been confirmed.
4. Fees and Payment
All session prices are listed on the website or will be quoted individually for custom plans.
Payments must be made in full at the time of booking unless a payment plan or alternative arrangement is made in writing.
Accepted payment methods include debit/credit card, BACS transfer, or other platforms specified on our Site.
We reserve the right to revise pricing at any time. Any change in fees will not affect bookings already confirmed and paid.
5. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Client Cancellations
You must give at least 24 hours’ notice before your session to cancel or reschedule without penalty.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the session start time are non-refundable and non-transferable.
No-shows will be treated as late cancellations and are not eligible for refund or rescheduling.
Coach Cancellations
If we must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, we will:
Reschedule the session at no additional cost, or
Issue a full refund for that session
We are not liable for any indirect losses caused by a cancellation (e.g., travel costs).
Rescheduling
Requests to reschedule must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
Rescheduling is subject to the Coach’s availability and is not guaranteed at your original time slot.
6. Lateness Policy
All sessions begin and end at the scheduled time.
If you arrive late, your session will still end as scheduled to avoid impacting subsequent clients.
If the Coach is late, additional time will be added, or a rescheduled session offered at no cost to you.
7. Health & Medical Disclaimer
By participating, you affirm that:
You are in good health and physically capable of engaging in sprint training.
You have disclosed any medical conditions, injuries, or medications that may affect your participation.
You understand that participation involves inherent physical risks.
We strongly recommend that clients consult a medical professional before beginning a new exercise regimen, especially if they have pre-existing conditions.
8. Assumption of Risk & Waiver of Liability
Participation in sprint training carries inherent risks, including but not limited to:
Muscle strains or sprains
Falls or trips on uneven surfaces
Overexertion
Accidents due to environmental conditions
By booking a session, you voluntarily:
Accept all associated risks
Waive any and all claims against the Coach, Edinburgh Sprint Coach, and associated parties for injury, loss, or damage unless caused by proven gross negligence
We accept no liability for damage or theft of personal property during sessions.
9. Insurance
The Coach holds current professional liability and public liability insurance.
Clients are encouraged to obtain personal health or sports insurance, particularly for competitive or high-intensity training.
10. Outdoor Sessions & Weather Disruptions
Outdoor sessions may be postponed in cases of severe weather, including:
Thunderstorms
Icy conditions
High winds
The Coach will notify you as early as possible if rescheduling is necessary.
Cancelled sessions due to weather will be rescheduled at no cost.
We do not cancel sessions for light rain or mild wind unless safety is compromised.
11. Conduct Expectations
All clients must maintain respectful behavior. Unacceptable conduct includes:
Abusive or threatening language
Disregard for safety protocols or instructions
Disruptive or reckless behavior
The Coach reserves the right to immediately terminate any session and refuse further services without refund in cases of:
Dangerous conduct
Harassment
Repeated non-compliance
12. Minors (Under 18 Participants)
Clients under the age of 18 must have written parental or guardian consent to participate.
A parent or responsible adult must be present for sessions unless agreed in writing.
Sessions are tailored to suit the developmental needs and safety of minors.
13. Use of Photography & Video
Sessions may occasionally be recorded or photographed for:
Performance analysis
Educational content
Promotional purposea
Consent:
You will be asked for explicit consent before any images or videos are shared publicly.
You may opt out at any time by notifying the Coach in writing.
We respect your privacy and will never publish identifiable content without permission.
14. Data Protection & GDPR Compliance
We are committed to protecting your personal information in compliance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

Name, contact information
Emergency contact details
Health disclosures relevant to training safety
Session history and feedback
How We Use Your Data:
To manage bookings and communications
To ensure your safety during sessions
For follow-ups and client support
Your Rights:
Right to access your data
Right to correct inaccuracies
Right to request deletion of your data (where legally permissible)
Right to withdraw consent
Right to lodge a complaint with the ICO

15. Intellectual Property
All materials provided by the Coach — including but not limited to training plans, videos, written guides, and analysis tools — are the intellectual property of Edinburgh Sprint Coach and may not be:
Copied
Reproduced
Distributed
Used for commercial purposes
without prior written permission.
16. Modification of Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updates will be:
Posted on our website
Communicated via email if relevant to your service
Continued use of services after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
17. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
